You are the manager, president and CEO of your life! How are things going these days? If you love your life, congratulate yourself; because you are the creator. If you think there are a few things you could change, that’s okay too. I would like to share a few strategies that work for me when life isn’t going exactly as planned. We are all responsible for what we are attracting into our own lives, good or bad. It’s not our spouse. It’s not our boss. It’s not our children. It’s just us. We are all made up of energy, and the Law of Attraction says, like energy attracts like energy. That means positive energy attracts positive energy, and negative energy attracts negative energy. What you say, how you feel and what you believe, affects what you attract into your life. You get what you ask for whether you want it or not; so what are you saying to yourself? There are common statements people make that prevent them from getting what they want. For instance, “I want to lose weight.” Well, if you lose something don’t you want to find it? That’s what you don’t want. If you change “I want to lose weight” to “I want to slim down”, you’re now focused on what you do want. It’s that Simple “I can’t afford it” can change to “There’s always more than enough money no matter what is going on.” “I will never find the right person for me” can become “I attract loving relationships into my life” “I can’t do it” changes to “I am doing it to the best of my ability” When you start to notice your own negative statements, make note of them, and try to find a positive more constructive alternative that makes sense to you. After all, it is you doing the talking. Changing the internal chatter is like learning a new language. It can be very foreign at first. However, with practice, a shift starts to happen and pretty soon you become fluent in your own positive self-talk. When you change your inner dialogue and start to focus your attention on those positive aspects in your life, you start to feel good; and feeling good is a key element to getting what you want. What happens when you say, “I can’t afford it”? Can you think of a time when you said that? Think of it now. How does it feel? Restricting, doesn’t it? Like you’ll never be able to get what you want? Now, think of that same example and this time, replace “I can’t afford it” with ‘there is always more than enough money’. Doesn’t that feel better, more relaxing, like there is nothing to worry about? “I will never find the right person for me” feels hopeless and lonely. How could it not? When you replace it with “I attract loving relationships into my life” you can start to feel more optimistic and anticipate a new relationship. Telling yourself you can’t do it can make you feel discouraged and defeated. When you are abe to convince yourself that you’re doing it to the best of your ability it’s encouraging and uplifting, and gives you the motivation to continue. When you try this exercise, make it a point to quiet your mind and get in touch with the sensations as you imagine getting what you want as if it is happening right now. If you’re resisting, you will know it, because you’ll be able to feel it. It comes in the form of heaviness, agitation and frustration. Just relax, and go with the flow. It’s all about letting go. You don’t have to worry about how things are going to happen, just believe that it will. Allow the universe to work its magic and know that everything is working out for the highest good of all concerned. As Henry Ford once said, “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re absolutely right!” We can all get caught up in the negative, but by noticing how you talk to yourself and making a conscious effort to shift your thinking; your life will change for the better. It has to! It’s the law! Like energy attracts like energy. Positive thoughts bring positive emotions, which lead to action, which manifests results. Once the cycle begins it has a domino effect, and it’s okay if you have to keep resetting those dominoes once in awhile. If you’re not happy with the way you’re life is going, talk to your manager.... that’s you! And remind yourself that what you say, feel and believe makes a difference. From the time I was an infant, I was diagnosed with Asthma.
For the last 50+ years, I accepted that this was part of who I was. On March 4, 2012 I received my Reiki Master/Teacher Certification. During this process, my energy level changed. On a break during my training I looked into a mirror with both hands over my lungs and heart chakra and professed that I was ready and willing to consciously heal myself. On March 7, 2012 I set my intention to personally heal my lungs and allow them to breathe freely and easily. Twice a day, I performed Reiki treatments on myself, enhancing it with meditation and mantras. I monitored my condition in a journal to watch my progress. This is my last journal entry dated April 15, 2012: "I am regularly practicing meditation and Reiki and it has been a steady flow of smooth and easy breathing. Anytime I feel the need for medication I talk myself out of it and ease the breathing on my own. My last dose of medication was March 24, 2012." As living proof, I know that with the proper focus and intention self healing is possible. Reiki is the method I used.
